Default Windows (not working, 1LS)

I was wondering if anyone has had the problem with the windows where the windows roll down with the key turned in the door but I can't seem to figure out why the windows won't go down from the inside the car. Any and all information would greatly be appreciated?

your question is not very clear.....
when you put your key in the door and turn it to unlock the door and hold it in that position, it will lower the windows and also open the sunroof.

BUT: I can't seem to figure out why the windows won't go down from the inside the car. Any and all information would greatly be appreciated?

I dont know what you are doing inside the car, relative to lowering the windows....
for more info, tell us what and how you are going about this operation.
thanks.

Yes I turn the key and the driver side window goes down but the sunroof doesn't open. I get inside the car and push the window buttons and the windows wont go up or down and the sunroof doesn't open or close. If I put the window down from the outside I wont be able to put the window up unless I turn the key in the door for it to go up. I know Ive replaced the battery but the owner before me couldn't get the windows to go up or down either.

Default lock button

Oh yeah that little button very true sometimes but I am a helicopter mechanic for the Navy the obvious was outweighed a long time ago with these windows I've checked fuses I've plugged into my check engine light and it gives ECU code and under the hood I have almost a row of fuses not getting power. I don't know if I should just change the ECU and see if that's the problem or potentially change the window switch or what I just want to see if anybody else has had this problem and give some advice to where I need to start reading wires or what.

Try changing the window switch. I had to change mines before n now I need to do it again because one of my back windows won't go down from the driver switch but it will from the back seat..

i would look in the trunk wireing going to the hinge? have you looked there.

this has caused many strange symtoms over the years on these cars.

I'm having this issue on my GS430, I can't control any of the passenger windows from the driver seat. Does anyone have any ideas what this could be?
