Double Din Install Help Needed
I just ordered a double din stereo for my 1993 Lexus LS400 that normally had a oem pioneer sterero.
From what i understand i need to order a Metra dash kit for the double din to sit flush.
Has anyione installed a double din in the first generation LS400? What do i do in terms of wiring, i dont believe it will be plug and play. Is there a special kit to order? From what im reading you may possibly lose subwoofer function. Some are saying to order a beatsonic kit but the price is ridiculous at $250.
Would this kit work? It has an Amp Integration Wire Harness:

OR would this work:

Any tips would be appreciated.

Im just gonna find a way to hook it up directly because $250 is a lot of money to spend. Im not afraid to cut cables and get my system hardwired . Its definitely possible. Just wanted to get as much help if possible before i get this installed myself.
