Ok my ls400 is giving me some problems. Sometimes when I start it up it will cut off ,i mean the radio and stuff stays on but the engine cuts off and the battery light comes on and the check engine light I believe. So in order to get my car to stay on I have to hold down the break with my foot and the gas and put it in drive and pull off and that does the trick usually and i am usually good for the rest of the day also will i am driving it my radio will cut off like my car cut off and then come back on the car never actually shuts off though. I am not sure what is causing my problem

I used to have the same problem with my 93 ls. Strange thing for me...it happened a total of 5 times in the same month and then never happened again. Drove the car for the next 8 years with it never happening again. It was some failed communication with the engine and the computer I guess. I did change the battery and never had the issue again. It just sounds similar to what I went through.
