Default i shaved.... kinda

I decided i want to shave my trunk and put a toyota badge on it. Was thinking either a JP or Celsior as well, but for now.......

I got a hold of a piece of black vinyl, hole punch and thought it would cover the holes and not really be noticeable. so i gave it a try

Ghost emblems. I like it clean as well. The few shops that quoted me to do the shave and spray, it was painful on the wallet.

Did Toyota badge any left hand drives as "Celsior" for export? I debated this back in the day. I eventually felt that the right hand drive models could be appropriately be called a Celsior. I got a good chuckle seeing the right hand drive models in Japan with Lexus emblems. It was pretty that when we rolled up on a LS400 there , it was a left hand drive. Interior was also "Lexus" but I didn't check the fine details like the headlights, tails or front windshield for DOT markings.

Should have used a heat gun to loosing up the badge instead of a screw driver. Less of a chance of scratching.

Here's a day pic, well as day as it ganna get here (for the next 10monts). Figured this would work until next summer when i get a respray. The badges were originally black chrome. 11yrs ago. Now they are chrome and gray chrome mixed. They look like cheap ***. The car looks cleaner without them. I have pulled enough badges that I knowI can use a screw driver and not scratch the paint. longer badges i use a name tag.

will look worse in sunlight, not a fan. I spray the old badges straight black (or hell, plastidip if you want) and throw them back on.

Willing to sell a couple of 0's from your LS400 logo? I want to make my car an LS40000. Seriously.
