Default 91 LS400 powersteering pump pulley

So the owner that sold me this LS lost his power steering pump pulley when he tried rebuilding it. i dont even want to know how that happened.

So I've searched high and low for a power steering pump pulley from online to napa, autozone, advance auto, toyota and lexus. Toyota wont even help me and said that they can't sell me any parts for a Lexus which is complete bull... Lexus wants to charge me $250 for a new pulley and napa has those pulleys but we cant figure out the size or the groove number. Can someone help me with a part number or dimensions and groove of this pulley? If anyone has one for sale or a repair manual for sale I'd appreciate that too!

Lexus won't give you the part number? If you had a part number it might could help. I know my local Toyota dealer helps me out a lot. Try Toyotapartseast.com, ask them.

have you tried rockauto.com?

i would just go to the junkyard and remove the pulley yourself. i find many 1st gens at my local yards all the time, and i shed a tear for each one haha!

I would just get one from the junkyard. I picked up a PS pump with pulley for $25 from http://chuckandeddies.net/ a couple years ago.
Where are you located in Ct.? This place is in Southington and also New Haven. They always have a few LSs in the yard in Southington, I never been to the one in NH.

you don't want a new one..

if it was available for your car, a new pulley would list around $180...

I Believe its the return hose. But my friend said there should be a metal piece that goes from the return hose to the power steering pump

That hose connects to the reservoir. Do you have the reservoir or did the guy somehow lose that also? Make sure you put a new, correct size, O-ring in there.
That big bolt on top of the pump, I've never seen one like that. (With a bolt) It's usually a snap ring with an O-ring down in there as shown in step 6 and 7 of this; http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/steer...mprebuild.html But then again, maybe the guy just left the temp bolt in there when he rebuilt it??? Every pump I've seen usually leaks from that O-ring so maybe he did something crazy inside there, ya never know.

Thanks alot man! Not sure what he did but im not going to risk it with this car. I'll see if i can get my hands on a used one in the junk yard. it seems to be missing alot of critical components!
