Default Navigation system - updating the disc

I have located the box in my trunk. How do I get the old disc out and does the box take a fluppy disc or a CD-DVD?

Thanks:

Navigation systems on 98-00 Lexus sold in North America were hard drive based and there have been no updates since 2004 due to the low capacity of the hard drive. Navigation systems on the 98-00 Lexus sold in other regions including Europe were CD based.

Update of the 98-00 navigation system hard drive was done on an exchange basis. I posted instructions on how to remove the hard drive in the following thread from 2007: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls4...on-cd-rom.html
