Default My Dubbed out 1st gen LS400

Hi just wanted to say hi to everyone. Im from Orange County, Southern California. I just bought this LS400 two months ago. I needed a daily driver since my RX7 was only getting about 15 mpgs.

Car was in rough shape when i got it. Been reading up the forums like crazy trying to learn as much as i could. Hope to contribute more to the community someday.

Car needed new tires and suspension. so i went ahead and got new rims/tires and coilovers. Decided to go dub since Im too poor to go VIP or EXE. This is my beater so I probably will not go all out on it. Maybe just replace whatever needs replacing to keep it reliable.

Maxed out on megan EZ coilovers. Is this the lowest it will go without preloading it?

Lastly, Here are some pictures of my money pit.

Welcome to CL. Keep using the search feature and you'll get a whole lot of useful info on repairs and/or mods. Remember, everyone has thier own opinions. Don't take any offense but the wheels are...... not my taste. Just my opinion. How many miles on the car? If you have any questions that you can't find answers to, just ask, we're here to help.

Thanks! Rx7s are $$ but they are worth it. I got blitz Smic, intake, blowoff valve, 3 inch downpipe, and tanabe racing medallion exhaust. Need to get a Apexi power FC and get it tuned before i go all out. Are you going to SevenStock14 at the end of this month?

Thanks for the compliment. Here's some pics with the center caps on. It looks a lot better. I also want to lower it more but I am rubbing like crazy and maxed out in the rear. I don't know how you guys do it.

I just purchased the car recently but I'm loving the ride of LS400. I'm finding that i enjoy driving the LS more than the RX7. I dunno but maybe its because I'm getting old.

I went to the Longo pursuit meet in Irwindale. The Lexus community is great. Looking forward to meeting all you guys.

hahah any videos?

I ran crappy times, I was too low in the back and using all season tires, couldn't hook up for crap. best time of the night was a 9.76 for the 1/8th with a 2.359 60ft.

Goodluck! The Rears were easy but the front upper control arms were a paint in the butt. I believe it can go lower but I might have to mess with the pre-load of the coil over which isn't recommended according to the instructions.

yeah most guys with megans have to change the preload to go lower, sucks but that's what needs to be done, to GITERDUN!
