Default 1999 Lexus Ls400 Security Problem

when i bought my LS400 it came with a aftermarket key. i don't have key-less, i have to open the doors manually. i called multiple locksmith, they come they program the key-less, the car excepts the frequency but key doesn't lock/unlock the car. Last guy told me he thinks the entire security is disconnected. Because if someone tries to open the car from inside the security doesn't go off with the horns.....i need help please

when he programs the key its locks/unlocks the doors until i close the driver side door and open it. and plus they have computers that reads if the key frequency is in the key-less entry module inside the cars computer

After programming the key you must put it back in the ignition and remove it to exit programming mode. otherwise it will discard the programming.

after programming he needs to put in the "new programmed key" in the ignition?
then how come if someone tries to open the doors from inside when the car is locked the factory alarm go off? doesn't it mean the entire security system is turned off, or the fuse is taken out?

Do a search there is a sequence of key on offs and lock-unlocks that will program a new key to your reciever.

I would guess that the locksmith is programming the ignition security to your car, but not the transmitter reciever for the fob.

Go to attached, and scroll down to "on board programing", then to section E
this is what you need to do.
I have done it on my 99. it works.

NOTE: read first line real good!

There are 2 sides to programming the key and they are significantly different procedures. The wireless portion and the Immobilizer both need to be programmed for proper operation.
