Me thinks an excessive EGR code would ensue.... TSB is for an issue related to the IAC logic and will in fact make the engine die BEFORE you come to a complete stop. The OP has not responded to the posts at all so, until we get clarification on the symptoms, I'm not sure anyone is doing anything but guessing! Drifters TSB was issued on 2/28/96. for early production 1996 LS 400 with VINs before JT8BH22F3TOO41045. After this date or VIN the TSB does not apply! This was caught and fixed on the production line long before the TSB was issued.

the ecu is only a signal reciever and sender correct? u can check to see if its sending information out?

The ECU simply makes output commands based on input signals. With the correct equipment you can monitor both inputs and outputs.

uh..ok..same difference,thanks. what i was getting at is there is a way to test to see if its doing its job
