Default Stereo LCD Light

So, my amp and sub went out on my 94 LS4, and I got a after-market sub and amp. the guys who installed it somewhat messed up my stereo. Now that when the headlights are off my stereo lcd displays lights are on and when I turn on the headlights those lights turn off even if i turn just the daylight driving lights on. I have looked at wiring diagrams and everything but can't figure out which wire is the one that was connected incorrectly. I appreciate the help.

From memory, below the instrument cluster on the left side of the steering wheel.

the dimmer is on the Left side of the Dash. Under Instrument Cluster sounds like its turn all the way down or there might be a short in the System...

Sounds like a harness connection issue. Did they splice into a wire and overload or break a circuit? An ugly diagnosis situation....

I don't really see how this would have happened just installing an amp and a sub, A deck, yes that's understandable since the lights go through the deck. try elimination, Using a test light pull the deck and check all the wires with the stereo off, on, lights off, on....
