How do you clean the sunroof drains out? I have a similar problem when it rains. My driver side gets completely wet to the point it gets foggy if I leave it shut for 3+ hours. How do ya clean 'em?

As in front of the car submerged? Do you see any signs on the outside or inside the engine bay how high the water level was?
The alternator is midway so the car would have to be about bumper deep to get it. If so, you may not only have the alternator but other parts of the wiring harness holding water at the connectors. You will have to get in and see just how high the water is and what electronics were exposed. May be lucky and it will dry out in time.

+1. If the water was as high as it sounds you're saying then the alt would have been submerged. A little advice; unplug your airbag fuse until you figure this out. If everything is acting funny, you sure don't want the airbags going off for no reason. Idk how much of your wiring on the interior got wet but the computor for the airbags is directly under the shift lever.

Looks like the alternator is bad , car died out an battery was dead got a jump drove home but had to keep it @ high rpm's an as soon as I got to the front of my house an let off the gas it died n wouldn't start back. This sucks....

That would be a good start but I think you have more then just a bad alt. If you got a jump and drove the car it would be running off just the battery, which wouldn't last long with just the jump start, maybe 10 minutes. RPMs wouldn't matter at all, when the alt is dead and the bat goes dead it just dies, no warning except dash lights. When my alt went and I was driving on just the battery I needed a full charged battery, it wouldn't take a jump and drive. It wouldn't have enough juice. A full charge battery would last me about an hour of highway driving before it completely died and I had to switch it. When the alt goes bad all the lights on the dash will light up. (bat, brakes, engine, trac)
