Default Questions about replacing transmission filter.

For 1996 LS4
I did search but could not get the information I needed.
1. Is the lower half of the dipstick tube molded with the tranny oil pan as one piece? If not, is there a rubber gasket (O-ring, etc) at the connection of the dipstick tube and the oil pan? I checked the sewell illustration and found no rubber parts at the connection.
2. In order to drop the pan, do I have to remove the bolt that fastens the middle of the dipstick tube to the car body?
3. Is it like a drain and fill, I need two quarts of type IV?
Thanks

No the tube just slides in together no o ring. When you drop the pan just twist some and pull it away. I would get more than 2 qts say about 4 just to have some extra handy.
