I wax the sides, front & back of car sitting in a chair -- much much easier

Wash, clay bar, wash and wax is a little over two hours.

I just waxed my recently acquired LS400 today using the chair -- it sure made it easy! I got the rocker panels with ease without hurting my knees, hips, back, neck or shoulders

I drove it through the $5.00 car wash and then waxed it later in the day. It took about 1 hour I'd say to wax it all.

I start by parking the car so one side is in perfect shade then I sit my trusty chair at one end of that side and start working my way down, over each of the 4 sections. Then I flip the car around and repeat. I then later get the front in the shade then the back (for the bumpers, grill, hood & trunk lid). I do the top last when the sun is almost down.

I'm in Southern Cal so the weather helps me keep car clean. I don't have a garage so I use a nice car cover. I'm also retired so the car sits a lot. When I wash it myself, I use a spray wax and apply it upper and lower body (using a different cloth for the lower body). Having the car detailed from time to time helps make the job easier too.

I don't wax the bottoms near as much as I do the top. I usually get lazy and just hit the roof, hood, trunk, and tops of fenders, doors, pillars, etc. Basically all the places that could fade from sun.

i wax it all everytime after a wash (everyweek)

I dont see whats the problem with hand wax. My car looks pretty good with that. Only once payed for a machined wax, but mines are still better
