Default real confused about these options???

ok so i was drooling over this car for sale and saw that the rear seat arm rests has a bunch of crazy seat controll buttons and radio controlls on them. The center console has the phone on the outside and a couple other small things. did this ever come in the u.s? the japanese versions of everyhting are soo much better than stuff they send here. i know that this is a ucf-11 with option package c.

This is probably a Japanese market Celsior that was imported into Canada where there are relatively few restrictions on importing cars over 15 years old. Unfortunately, it is difficult, impossible or very expensive to get parts to repair the Japanese-only features should any fail.

If my memory is correct, navigation and in-dash TV was available on the Japanese Celsior beginning with the 1993 model year.

Yeah that's a Japanese version Celsior RHD. I would love to have those controls in the armrest. That's actually the inside of the front armrest not the back. They had ALL the good options over there plus the navigation wouldn't be any good in the good ol' USA.

I guess I was mistaken on the armrest. I can see the rear seats being heated, but how would they be adjustable? Eh, like I said, they had all the good options in Jap.

So...42,xxx miles for $7600 USD. Idk...super sweet car and looks clean as hell. I think you could find a nice '97+ for that kind of money.

only problem is you can't import it from canada unless you get an exemption from the NHTSA/EPA.

otherwise the first celsiors don't become legal for 49 state import until ~2015.

That's the Celsior with the CF package, the reason for all the rear controls was that the car was designed to be chauffeur driven so the passengers in the rear had full control of the AC (seperate system for the rear) and the sound system.
The rear seats are not only heated but are massaging and recline!
I have the base model Celsior so these goodies are not fitted, the wiring loom is present though.
The mileage may be kilometers if so that would be around 25,000 miles! mine had 38,000 miles (62,000km) when imported in 2005.
