Default Hood Struts Up Date

Here's what you need......Mighty Lift part number 95029. (78-93 Ford / Mercury Hatch struts) .Just remember to cut out your old ball screws to reuse on the new struts.

Pending new edit note: These were all related to problems I had on my 98 and may not even need to be gone through for the 1st gen FAQ

I had the Taillamp Failure Message on my 99 LS400, but had no bulbs out. This thread was the only one that solved the problem. See Sam's post about the 3rd brake light.

I just fixed my hood struts with ebay struts for $40 shipped. They are "Tuff Support Gas Springs 612200 replaces 4566" They were perfect came with bolt in ball mounts that fit, were the perfect length, and wern't too hard to lower the hood.
