Greetings all. Someone clue me in on this term I see on here a lot. What does "UFC" stand for? I know it can't pertain to the TV show "ultimate fighter challenge" LOL

Well, for starters, no-one has written UFC, it's UCF, and it relates to the chassis code of the Lexus LS range.

The Mk1 was UCF10, facelift Mk2 was UCF11
Then the Mk3 (new body) was UCF20, Mk4 UCF 21
LS430 was UCF30, and so on.

Oh ok just some dumb lingo instead of just saying the make and model I guess. Suppose it makes some the people feel smarter.

its just easier than typing 90-94 or 95-00 etc.

and the difference from the 0/1 is basically it it was a ultra luxury or not iirc.

they are manufacturer's chassis codes, not "dumb lingo".

ucf10 - 90-94 w/o factory air
ucf11 - 90-94 w/ factory air
ucf20 - 95-00 w/o factory air
ucf21 - 95-00 w/ factory air

when properly used they help identify a car. the problem is a lot of people get it wrong.

The chassis code is used in many auto forums to identify the car model. Done with BMW, MB, Porsche as well...it indicates a true follower of the line in many ways. When asking about the car, if the poster says year and such this indicates a noob.

Is the code marked somewhere on the car? How would you know if you had factory air?

its the chassis identification(VEHICLE TYPE) for the VIN#. When you give your ins company your VIN# look at it and it will have the following list of numbers and letters. The VIN Tells everything about the car from what number it was produced, original color, interior color material options, exterior/motor options as well.
