Default 91 LS400 Wont go past 4,000RPM

Hello fellow LS400 Owners!

I Have a 1991 LS400 and i noticed something odd...

I Rarely get on the Gas seeing as Gas prices are 4.69 a Gal

But today i stepped on the gas hard and my LS will not go past 4,000 RPM...

If anyone has had the same problem can you please help??

Motor Oil
Oil Filter
Spark Plugs
Wires
Distributor Caps
Ignition Rotors
Fuel Filter
Transmission Fluid
Transmission Filter

I Hope its not the transmission...

How does the car run otherwise? Does it idle normal? (600 RPM) It looks like the RPM started at 300. At the begining it does sound that it has a skip or the fuel/air mixture isn't right.

It Idles under 600..

But it runs Fantastic!

No shaking or Sputtering it is smooth.

I dont think theres anything wrong with the car
im assuming the ect was not in power mode
and since it sounds like your a generally relaxed driver the ect has learned your style

if you want it to be able to rev fully, reprogram your ect
