Default 94 ls 400 intermittent check engine light

Well great car. I love it. 94 ls400. 93000 miles. I started it up today and the check engine light and trac light were on. Car seemed to run fine. I pulled out drove it for about 2 minutes and it went out. Later i stopped got out restarted the car and the light came on for 30 seconds and went out. All this time car is running normal. As the day went on The light came on when I would start the car but go out shortly afterward. No issues with operating that I noticed. Any one have an idea?

There's a code stored in the computor. Check the codes using this link. http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/intro/codereading.html Write them down, so you don't forget what they are. Clear the code by pulling the fuse in the link, (With the car off) and then drive around and see if they come back. Post here whatever codes come up.

If you're going to want to read engine codes on a regular basis (for example, if you have a land rover) then one of these is really good to have around - and all your buddies will ask you to read their codes too!

Oops good point there, thanks for the reminder. Don't buy that scanner (unless you have a Disco II)
