hello , the bushing on this part for my 92 ls400 is bad. i need help identifying it. hope the pic turns out ok its my first time.

That would be the Strut Rod. http://lexus.sewellparts.com/images/...00/NC0702F.jpg When you reinstall it after changing the bushing the torque spec is 136 ft. lb.

actually, that is the rear of the car and that rod is the trailing arm. one of the bushings comes with the trailing arm as an "assembly".......this would be the end connected closest to the car body.

at the other end of the traliing arm, is a bushing i know for sure you can get separately, and this one connects the arm to the bottom of the rear knuckle. it either needs to be pressed in/out or use an air hammer with a chisel bit to get the old one out.
the ones i just replaced were urathane, if you get urathane, make sure you use a dab of bearing grease when you install them as they have a tendency to make noise if you dont.

if you need the knuckle side bushing, i will post the part number tomarrow when i get to work.but im sure someone will beat me to it

Actually, I know it's the back, and it is the "strut rod". The front has a "strut bar". Take a look at this # 48780A "strut rod assembly". http://lexus.sewellparts.com/oem-cat...S400-1992.html
The part # for the strut rod bushing is 4872522110. This doesn't show any part # for the bushing on the axle carrier (Knuckle) but I'm sure you can find it somewhere.

when I was ordering my parts through world pack, it showed the strut rod bushings for the front strut rod. for the rear strut rod, the pic shown was not what I needed, the next part with a pic was listed as the rear trailing arm assembly, minus a bushing at the knuckle side. the knuckle bushing was sold separately. so I ordered the trailing arm knuckle bushing and got what I needed.

Right? How can you say that's the front. I didn't know the emergency brake was on the front. It sure looks like the drivers side rear to me. Here we are trying to help you and you don't know which way is front and rear. I might as well say that that part is a muffler bearing clamp washer.

Figure it out without me??? I already told you what it was!! Who's the jerk here? You posted a pic of the back suspension asking what a part was, I told you exactly what your arrow is pointing at, and you're trying to say "its the front driver side the pic should make it perfectly clear." Here we are trying to help you and you're saying we are all wrong.
If you can't tell the front from the back I don't think you should be working on, or even driving, a car.
