1990 lexus ls 400 electrical problem
Hello, i have a 1990 lexus ls 400 and i recently bought a battery because my old one kept dying. well i accidently hooked up the battery wrong and it made a tiny spark so i immediatly removed it and put it on the other way.
The car will start but nothing in the car works. The AC/Heater, radio, windows dont roll down, speedodometer doesnt work, and it doesnt go into gear unless i press the shiftlock button then it will drive and reverse.
My headlights work but my brake lights and signals wont work unless my hazards are on. everything worked fine with my old battery, i checked all the fuses and the are perfect, a friend told me it might be the altenator but also said it could be a fuse.
i would like to know how to fix this problem if someone can help me.
PLEASE!

Before you get blasted for not using the search feature,,, consider it already addressed. This has been discussed on numerous occasions and using the search feature will yield you ALOT of results. I will give you the first two as a welcome gift.

In short, you blew one of the 120 amp fuses under the hood of the car. Check all of them in the fuse box under the hood and replace the defective one.
