Default Replacing windshield washer solvent hoses

The windshield washer solvent hoses in the hood were replaced using OEM hoses...do not use aftermarket anything as it will affect flow rates...and not fit.

The original.hoses were in remarkably good shape for 20 years but while the hood liner was removed, determined to replace hoses.

Toyota used 3 different I.D. hoses between the washer solvent bottle and the hood nozzles. (!)

One thing noticed is where the hoses passed through the hood, they were not well secured, thus able to flop around.

So, depending which diameter hood hose, slid 5/16" I.D or 3/8" I.D. fuel hose sections over solvent hose in through hole areas.

A few images of the hoses depicting collaring

Right side nozzle hose

Left side nozzle hose at T. Notice transition to larger hose. (I think the V of the T is facing wrong way, but this is how it was configured)

On left side the hose passes through this area..but hose is not actually secured by this tab.

Collared right side hose with 5/16" I.D. fuel hose..the hose slips right over with water.

Left side nozzle hose collared. When washer solvent pressure applied, the hose will not move with pressure so spray on windshield is more instantaneous.

Used 3/8" I.D. hose to collar main line washer solvent hose, which secures it in place.

Used 3/8" I.D. fuel hose to collar main washer solvent hose where it passes into hood cavity onto hood hinge on it's way through fender. (left side)
