Default Strut bar bushing

Im new to this club so just joining in on some topics. I just ordered the whole strut bar from oemlexusparts.com for 107 each side. Its more than the bushings alone but you need to take it out anyway press the old one out and press the new one in (at least thats what a few mechanics said)so I just replaced entirely. I had a clunking noise in the front end over bumps and when i hit the brakes you could here it. are you experiencing the same?

you have to buy the whole strut bar. Lexus dont sell the bushing itself.

I am actual right depend on if you have 1G(1989-1994) or 2G(1995-2000). You can buy bushing for 1st generation but not for the 2nd generation.

My local dealer and and Park Place told me so when i order mine. I end up getting the strut bar from Park Place. I guess they rip me off. Sewell must know something other dealers do know.

yes wheni press the brakes i hear it in driver side, but not speedbumps. Sometimes i hear it when there is a bunch of potholes in a row or some chewed up road....canadian winters . I also learned today that my tires were all running 24 psi and im thinking that might be part of the issue due to a cheap tire gauge, they are now 30psi so i will note how it drives tomorrow morning to work. Haha driving this car is the highlight of my morning and afternoon. Question, Was the car smoother after you replaced them or not really?

cool thanks, i think they are out of stock though i might phone and see if they can get them in. How hard were they to change just the bushings?, im also curious if the car was smoother afterwards.
