Default Will the doors off a 91 fit my 95 LS400?

Right front and rear.
My wife backed into my 95 and the estimate is 1700- to get fixed. I have found a really nice 91 in the same color scheme at a fair price and thought maybe.....
Thanks for the help.
The color is metallic beige with the taupe like trim.

Hi there. My mom has a caddy, and after a guy ran a red light and hit her driver's door, the insurance co. said it would cost $2,400 to fix it! Then they totaled it! A 97 w/80k miles. I called dealers to see what range of years would fit on a 97, then went to junkyards and found one for $50. Worked great, just needed paint after putting it on. You might want to try that. Good luck, God Bless, Peace n Rock n Roll!

Just got back from a salvage yard whose owner had some work done by my wife(attorney). He searched his data and told me he had a passenger door in the right color!
He cut me a deal since he "knew" my wife.

Just to be clear, 90-94 doors will fit each other?

I'm pretty sure AzHotLS was saying the 90-94 would NOT fit the 95, which was the actual question.

Correct.

I would say yes, but in this Lexus LS Generations page on Lexls.com

http://www.lexls.com/info/lsgenerations.html

in the 1993 section, it says:

So while the doors may fit, the body moldings will be different on the 93&94 as compared to 90-92.

I'm no expert on it so you'll want to double check before mixing Gen 1 model years.

Hi there. Glad it worked out for you You say he cut you a deal. Was it under $50. Hopefully so, or it wasn't a deal.

Kim, $50 for a Lexus door? That would be an AWESOME deal. Even if it was dented. J/Y will usually charge 200 -300 for a LS400 door, not in perfect shape. But I'm glad you got your mom's Caddy door for $50, they go for less. Anytime I need a Lexus part I think $500 as a starting point no matter what it is. If it turns out to be less, that's great. It's a Lexus, everything is expensive.

Hi Dean. I know Lexus anything is more expensive, but I didn't think the difference between a Cadillac and a Lexus door would be 10x more. Is that really true or do I get darn good deals because I'm a "little Lady" that will NOT give up or leave until I get what I want from car people? Maybe that's why, when I go looking for used luxury cars, which I often do, if they're listed @ 10k, I can get them for 3-5k. I've found (so far) they will give it to me for my price, just to get rid of me! At least I've gotten to own some fabulous cars! Sorry to go off in car fantasy land, but back to the question. Is Lexus vr. Cadillac that much difference? Thanks P.S. I just called the junkyard where I got the Cadillac door and asked if a Lexus door would be more. He (the owner) said a door's a door, same cost. Maybe that's southern hospitality!

Sorry to get a little off topic here but just an explanation, Hey Kim, I never said the difference was 10x more and Idk why the JY would say "a door's a door", it's not. The JY I use I can get a Caddy door for $75, a Buick for $30 but an LS400 door is $250. It depends on the model of car, condition of door, what part of country, the demand of that car, etc. I've seen LS400 doors out west for as much as $850 or a stripped down door (no glass, actuator, wires, or panel) for $100. It's all what you want to pay for.
But anyway, I'm not saying that ya can't get something for a steal, if ya can, more power to ya.

first gen 89-94,,, MOST BODY parts are interchangeable (only minor changes to eletronics, and suspension)
gen 2,,95-97 changes to body over first gen,,,these years will interchange with each other
gen 2.5,,,98-2000 New body over gen 2,,only these years will interchange.

Hi Dean, I should have explained further re: a door's a door. What I meant was that certain parts go for a fixed price here, i.e. Any door, no matter what make or model goes for $50. Other parts, regardless of make or model are still one fixed price depending on the part only.

to answer your question, YES. cadillac sucks ***. Lexus cars are built like nothing else on the roads. simply an entirely different breed of motor that utterly eclipses the build quality and design standards of all American, German, or other Japanese brands.
