Default Really Odd Noise when on the freeway??

the past few days my car has been making a really odd noise, its sort of sounds like a REALLY loud hairdryer noise "WHOOOOOOO" haha thats the best I can describe it, its not a grinding or rattling sound but its coming from the passenger side. At first I thought something was caught under the car or that the tire was rubbing on the frame. It happens spontaneously, sometimes at 40mph sometimes at 60 sometimes not at all. But it doesn't seem to have any effect on the performance.

I'm just throwing out ideas but we are having a pretty good storm here in California and I'm wondering if it could be the wind pushing on one of the fans at the front of the car? I ask this because I was in an accident last year that broke one of the fans and its sort of the same sound my AC makes when I turn it.

that could be completely wrong idk just throwing it out there.

thanks for the advice all

are the a/c vents in the closed position? is your a/c set to vent? if so thats likely it. on my a/c, if too many of the vents are closed, i get kind of a wind whistle noise. it gets LOUD!!!!!!. i was freaking out till i realized what it was. opened all the vents and it stopped. then again, it could be the front passenger wheel bearings. really depends on what the noise actually sounds like. sounds are usually pretty impossible to diagnose without actually hearing them yourself.

It could be a noisy fan bearing bracket.
