Default 1991 Ls400 Electrical E-Brake Problem Need Help!!!

Hello
I am new to the wonderful Lexus world but am having one simple problem

I was using my E brake and now every time i push the brake my R light comes up in my dash (Reverse) Also at highway speeds when you touch the brakes the rear seems to grab quickly making the car down-shift??

I have inspected everything mechanically and all seems fine, the e brake apply s fine and releases fine.

If you have any information that may be useful it would be much appreciated.
