New Member just saying what's up!
Hey folks, Just bought my first Toyota/Lexus and it's a 1st gen LS400. Always been a Nissan guy, had a bunch of Infiniti's, still do (G35C, 1994 Q45T). Funny thing is I'm a Toyota engineer so I guess it's about time. So far I like the LS400 alot, great car, really love the original 90's interior, some might find it a little to much. Fixed up a few things using this forum so far (coolant tank), everything else seems ok, I haven't pinpointed any leaks since. Here's some pics.

Hello and welcome. Nice looking car. I also have a 1990. I noticed you have a right side wheel installed at the left rear. Other than that, she looks snazzy. Even looks like your gauge cluster needles are lit right to the tips.

Wow, saw that interior, thought I drank too much last night. It's a little bright. The car looks in pretty good shape, how many miles? Only, the interior wouldn't be my color choice but hey, if YOU like it, it's all good. Welcome.

Thanks folks,
Yeah the car has a nice interior, the guy before me had the car re-upolstered, so that would explain the seats looking new. The needles where another story, when I bought it some of the needles where half lit and the tach and temp gauge didn't move. After 2 junkyard trips and rebuilding a full meter cluster between 3 meter clusters I got everything to work perfectly. Yeah those are my winter wheels, must have threw them on wrong, thanks for the heads up. The mileage is 292,500 but it runs better than some of the new company cars I have driven. Mileage is a little high but the previous owner took good care of the car and I if something goes wrong I can work on it since my summer DD is my G35 coupe.
A guy at work actually gave me the original LS400 hardback propaganda book, it has all the information ont he development of the LS400 and some nice diagrams, prototypes and stories. I will probably scan it in a make a PDF for the forum if it already isn't on here. Just let me know if you guys want it.
I did have one question, what do you guys think about a transmission fluid change on these cars? Should I just drain and replace the filter or should I just leave it alone at the mileage. I have heard if it hadn't been changed in a while you should leave it alone.
Thanks
