Default ls400 1994 temperature gauge

ls400 1994 my temperature gauge stop working in the cluster i took it apart and saw it was broken anyone know where i can find it ?? i called lexus for it and they said they want 300 for it i think that price is alittle too high any leads would help i was also thinking about just adding another one on the side pillar if its gonna be too expensive thanks guys

I think the first thing to do would be to test if its the gauge itself, or a sensor thats malfunctioning,
next if it is the guage you can probably find a whole instrument cluster for less than 300, take out what you need and sell the other parts

i changed all the sensors plus the needle on the gauge is bent down it wont stand straight but i think it would be better the whole cluster like you said thanks alot

the other option is, theres a guy on ebay that fixed the dim needle issue that others suffer from you could ask him if his does gauges too, his price is about 100 bucks but that might be different, still cheaper than 3, but as you said an after market pod might be the easiest and cheapest, just depends on whaty ou want to do with the car down the road

check the sending unit, or swap out one from a working car to test it.

i have the same problem my temperature gauge does not go up like something was disconnected at first it would go up and down when i accelerated it would go down and i would let go of the gas and it would return back to normal about a week ago i had the power steering pump fix cuz the old one did not work and ever seens then my gauge has stopped working any advise

Don't see how fixing the rack caused that I had mine changed and it was fine. My temp gauge went wacky I changed the thermostat and sending unit. Ending up being the needle itself. Putting it in is easy just take care of taking apart the cluster. There is a diy for that. If you can get a repair manual find the page for temp gauge and what to troubleshoot.
