dianose help
94 ls400 I did the steps for diagnosing the check engine light but I can't get the check engine light to give out codes. What could be the problem have anyone had this problem before.

Is the light working at all, does it come on when you turn the key before starting the car? If not, either the bulb is burnt out or someone has covered it with tape. This, http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/intro/codereading.html , is the correct way to diagnose. If there's no codes stored it should continually blink every .25 second.

sounds like you have either an airflow problem or a possible bad coil. but first thing is first you need to make sure that your check engine light comes on when you turn the ignition on and if not you need to make sure it isnt covered.
