Sent my 1991 LS400 Climate Control via an ebay listed repair service. They replaced at least 5 of the 7 bulbs and the LCD. Now I have time and temp. Cost was $71.15 including roundtrip priority mail postage from Florida to Texas. Total time from my shipment to return was 7 days. The Ebay listing is at:

I just installed mine from jjeichmann@yahoo.com and it's perfect. Easy instructions and I didn't want to take a chance and screw up the soldering so I bought his complete unit.

I don't know if I am allowed to post this, but I am sure I will get told if I shouldn't have. I just had my 1993 LS400 instrument cluster repaired by a firm through Ebay called BBA Remanufacturing. They repaired the dim needles, inoperative fuel gauge, and backlighting that went out constantly, all for $80.00 U.S. with a lifetime warranty! They had it repaired and shipped back out to me the same day they received it. As I am anticipating that I will eventually need to repair the climate control also, I checked. They will repair the climate control for $70.00 u.s. with a lifetime warranty also. I will send all of my auto electronics to them from now on without hesitation. It shows that they have offices in a lot of different countries, including Canada.

Thanks! Checking it out now. I'll let you know how it goes.

They did my instrument cluster a year or 2 ago. Last summer it acted up again, I called them, they picked it up, paid for the pick up and delivery, fixed it in a day and I was very happy.

Nice, now that is good service. I would be pretty happy myself. That's the way a business should be run. Repeat customers, and word of mouth, is what keeps a business in business for many years to come. If anything ever happens with mine I'll give them a shot.

It just occurred to me while looking for replacement bulbs on ebay there are different colors available.
Has anyone replaces these bulbs in their LS with a different color?
With or without the color filter boot?
