Default Strutmaster Convo vs. Megan Coilovers

This is my first thread as I have been on the sight for a short time. I have a 91 ls400 with 235k miles on it. It came fully load with the air suspension system. The front end is totally on the ground and I'm looking to get rid of the air suspension setup. I have researched the Strutmasters but just recently came across the Megan Coilovers...My question is which is a better setup based on how well a lexus is know for it's ride feel? I am leaning toward the Strutmasters but I will greatly welcome any input about the Megan's if they are a better choice? Thanks for all of your answers and I am glad that I found and joined the club....

strutmasters would be oem ride. megan coilovers will be a more sporty ride, with height/dampening adjustment.

I have megan racing coilovers on my 92 UCF10. I set the dampening to 0 on all four corners and it is a very livable ride on freeways. Depending on your age and driving style it may not suit you on rough roads which combined with a stiff suspension can get quite bumpy. However, you can set the dampening anywhere from 0-32, 32 being the softest and probably the closest to oem spec. The spring rates are adjustable on the megans as well but I don't recommend that you change the factory spring rates. Good luck and welcome to ClubLexus!

I want a little bit of both...so I guess I wll get the megan-but I might upgrade to the megan lp's...but I'm going to do a little bit more research before I make my purchase...I also want to go with a bigger tire size so I might just upgrade the sway bars, bushings, replace/repair control arms, etc....I not looking to do alot of overkill but I'm just looking to up/replace neccessary parts and repair since I've had the car since 91...thanks for the your input...

bc coilovers would work but it might put the car too low even at max height.

The Megans or BC's would both be a good upgrade as a full package.

PM us if you'd like some pricing or help
