Default Stripped trans pan-to-case bolt

Today I pulled the pan again to install the magnets that were missing along with a new filter. I only use 1/4 drive stuff to install the bolts at just the right amount of torque. One of the bolts along the side stripped today. I don't think it is really leaking but I havn't driven it much yet. It may not leak but I still want to fix it.

Has anyone else ran into this before? Any ideas on a new larger size bolt and tap? Hoping it can be driven without leaking with the stripped bolt until I ever need to pull the pan again to fix it the right way.

Hi,

one missing bolt will not really matter.
I would not do anything at the moment.
The next time you take the pan off you can just unscrew it, buy a new bolt and done.

It will have to be tapped out to a larger size and have a larger bolt installed. I tend to agree with you though, it shouldn't leak right now but it may need attention later.
