Default kyb W0133-1792263 vs kyb KY341268

when I search to buy kyb shocks for my 1992 ls400 they come in 2 flavors

W0133-1792263 and KY341268

Does anybody know if the W0133-1792263 is the original lexus spec? It seems to suggest it on some of the vendors (auto parts warehouse for example) and that the KY341268 is compensated for wear (in other words stiffer)

I sent an email to kyb. It's curious that the w part number does not say that it compensates for suspension wear, it says oe, it cost more and only has a 12 month 12,000 mile warranty. It is not sold on the KYB site. I will update when they answer my email.

Well KYB only answered my email with KY341268 is the one to use. So I installed KY341268 on the rears and car rides better as well as handles better. Only thing I am not sure of is if the shocks that were on my car were the originals. They were black and had no markings on them except one thin white stripe on the middle of the shock (below the spring area) this is on a 1992 ls400. My other question is, do the 92 ls400's have a firmer ride than the 98 to 2000? or than the 94-97?

mine look exactly like these
