Default Window switch and motor removal

I have a 92 Ls400 and the drivers window is stuck halfway down. With the economy sucking like it does, money is tight. I will get replacement parts as soon as I can, but I need to get the window up so that I can use the car. Does anyone know how to get the window up? I would like to leave the motor in place if possible. Is there any way to "jump" the motor? You know, use a charge off some sort through the wires to make it move? The circuitry looks simple enough, but I don't want to burn up the motor.

Default you can try and jump it

Sometimes its the switch, other times the motor itself.

I was able to track mine down to the switch instead of the motor.

Applied the 12V i across the connector to the motor itself and window went up, reverse the polarity and it went down.

You can try some tricks once you identify, like cleaning off the leads to the plug with some light sand-paper to see if you get a cleaner contact point.

I finally ended up just buying the motor and replacing it, and then got a switch from a junk yard.

Be careful when pulling panels off the car. The switches, the plastic parts have age and likely brittle.
