Default 99 LS400 losing air pressure

So lately ive been losing air in my 16x7 chrome stock wheels so i would have to air up my tires every 2 weeks. When i went into Costco to have my wheels rotated at 7,500 miles, i told them about the problem and they said they will take a look.... when it was done, the guy who worked on my car told me "Chrome is flaking on inside of both wheels"....He said he had seen that problem A LOT in my model but hes seen worst...also he said my rims wont last another year so i would have to buy new ones... anyone else experiencing this problem?? or "chrome flaking in their stock wheels"???? any info?? thanks

Yes, one of mine started leaking, while at walmart I had them check it and got the same answer, I asked "any way to save it?", he said sure, just put tire bead sealer around it, and he did, he wire brushed it first, that was 8 months ago..... still holding, no leaks... and didnt charge me..

Yup...once it begins flaking the tire will not seal properly. Good excuse for some VIP style wheels.
