Question 92 (i think) SC400 Wheels on a 96 LS400

So I'm not much of a car person, but I'm trying to figure out the whole tire fitment thing. I've read some of the posts and they're a bit over my head. I bought a set of SC400 wheels off eBay to put snow tires on my 96 LS400. Mounted the snow tires and got the back wheels on but no go on the front wheels due to the large brake calipers. I searched the threads and it seems you can buy longer studs and spacers. Is this safe? Is this a DIY or will any tire shop take care of this for me? If I can't use these wheels, where in the world do I go to find out what other vehicles these wheels will fit? I have people calling and asking and one guy even took one to try on his RX300 - no go there either. Is there a website you can go to to search other applications?? Not many people in my area drive SC400's so if I'm going to sell these things, I need to know if they will fit other vehicles.

for OEM wheels which i believe have flycuts you can use Bolt-on spacers (must be a minimum of 15mm to clear the brakes) which will infinitely ease installation for you.

H&R sells them as does Ichiba.
