Default Looking at a 1996 LS400

The car has 220k miles on it for $2900

The exterior of the car is excellent and the interior of the car is very good (with the exception of heavy wear on the front seats and the center console lid)

Everything seems to work except for the air conditioning. The guy told me it likely needs a new compressor. (Not sure how much that will run me)

The car started right up from being cold (Cold as in 65F ambient temp)

The car seemed to drive well. The only concern there was shifting it into drive the car seemed to jump a little.

For the price it seems rather decent.

Thoughts?

Check all the fluids and check through the service history. If it looks good...
IMO the 1-2 LS's are EOL unless you are mechanically inclined and or have a good source for parts. 99-00 are the better targets.
