Default LS at the track?

Anyone besides me taken their LS to the drags? I just traded the 96 for a 99 (much faster) and will be taking it soon. BTW, the 96 ran 15.4 @ 91mph (best of 3 passes) and weighed 3725.

I also posted a GS comparision. I am trying to determine if the power rating is marketing or real... LS=290hp/300tq, GS=300hp/310tq. Engines appear identical. I will try to determine the truth

Quick question for you about your upgrade from 96 to 88. I have noticed that the A/C vents on the 99 are a little higher up in the dash vrs the 96. Also for the air to shoot right at you the vent seem to be angled pretty low. Have you noticed if this new design cuts back or retricts air flow at all compared to you old 96?

I would guess Lexus would think of this and not go backwards but you never know?

Thanks

Horta,

I haven't noticed any problems and it is hot and humid here in Houston Texas...

Thanks for the pictures, I had wanted a side by side comparision.

Are you thinking about trading up to a newer LS?

Default airvents moved for NAV screen?

Just a hypothesis, but the airvents may have been made smaller and moved higher up to make room for the big LCD screen on cars with NAV (which didn't exist in '96). Lexus probably didn't want to make two different vents for those with and without the NAV screen.
