Has anyone noticed a slight short honking sound when giving gas?
When I am at a dead stop and let off the brake, the second i give a little gas I hear a short honk type of sound. It only does it there and I don't have to give lots of gas for it to happen.
It's not the suspension either. Anyone?

It's coming from the front end. It's hard to pinpoint as I have to be driving it.
it only happens when I give gas in Drive, as well. Should have mentioned that.
It makes the sound for a split second just after I let go of the brake and just as I give a bit of gas.

It sounds suspension related opposed to engine... Maybe look at the strut bar cushions if they haven't been changed. They really take a lot of stress when braking, both forwards and downwards. When you let off the brake and start moving forward, the stress is relieved. This surely happens with other suspension components as well, but I'd look at those first.

That's a good guess, however, it doesn't matter how much or how little gas I give. Meaning, I could have let go of the brake and be rolling forward already, then just blip the throttle, not enough to make the car really move at all, and then it makes the sound.

I replaced the mount this summer with a brand new lexus one.
I'll try to listen from outside while my gf touches the throttle. Maybe I'll be able to pinpoint it a little better.
