Very nice! I love the idea of a 5-speed in an LS.

I got in contact, he wants something crazy... $500+ for the clutch pedal assembly! Thats outrageous. My clutch pedal setup is less than a 1/3rd of the price and uses the same master cylinder and reservoir.

I wonder if one could use the Quantum Auto kit and supplement everything else?

yeah but a W58 still feels a hell of a lot better than an R154. and a Built W58 will cost you LESS than half a used V160 (iirc) and hold similar power levels.

Swapping a 1UZ into a MK3,SC3/4,etc is going to be more straight forward than a LS from what I've seen.

guys it isnt that hard....

1uz chassis'd car + W58 (mk3 only) + conversion kit (adapter, clutch, flywheel, throwout setup) + custom driveshaft + pedal setup = manual 1uz.

doesnt get hard until 95+ because of the OBDII ecu losing its mind since there's no trans for it to control.

Hence why I really didn't want to keep the UZ in my 96 and go 5 speed. Whats the problem with an R154?

personal preference and price.
built, they handle equal torque and cost roughly the same/the R154 is more overall due to initial cost

and i like the way a W58 feels any day over an R154 that feels notchy as hell.
