California Dreamin on that price. Its worth a premium, but not much. Every rubber suspension and mount bushing is still as dried out as a 92 with 160k on it. Also, having a car sit for years at a time without any mileage (as the carfax states) being put on it can reek havoc on all the engine and transmission seals. Not to mention the fuel system and other engine components if not properly prepped for storage.

The seller is not asking that price. It has been bid on 25 time. The bidding started at around $100. So that means many people are willing to pay that price.

That's a big price for 1992 technology. UGLY wheel arches? I resemble that! Both my next door neighbor and I had stainless steel wheel arch trim on our 90 LS400's -- it was an "80's thing" but it did prevent parking lot dings. I made it 13 1/2 years without a single ding before I sold the 90 in 2003. Here is a pic from the week I sold it - complete with the UGLY trim I kind of liked.

Kansas...that remark was made especially towards your wheel arches...JUST JOKING with you!
Personally I don't like the cosmetics however, I definitely wouldn't argue with you in terms of its functionality.
Wait a minute, you agree with me...Did I misread your post?
