Default 96 timing belt parts - what am I missing?

Hi guys,

I am about to order the parts for the 96 ls400 I just bought. I think I will have it done before I pick up the car. I have priced the parts with lexus, sewell, iron toad and rock auto, all similar price.

I found this guy on ebay selling the same parts and a tune up kit for less money. He says the parts are OEM and lists by who. I am not familiar with the OEM manufactuer's for lexus, can any of your comment if this is for real? Are these OEM parts or aftermarket? Seems hard to believe?

Tune-up, Timing Belt & Water Pump Kit
Includes:

2 Bosch/YEC Distributor Caps
2 Bosch/YEC Ignition Rotors
8 NGK G-PowerPlatinum Spark Plugs
1 OPparts Ignition Cable Set
1 Contitech/Bando/Mitsuboshi Timing Belt
1 Koyo/GMB/NSK Timing Belt Tensioner Bearing
1 Koyo/GMB/NSK Idler Bearing
2 Front Camshaft Seals
1 Front Crankshaft Seal
1 GMB Water Pump made in Japan
1 Water Pump Gasket
1 Water Pump Pipe O-Ring
1 Water Outlet Gasket

All of that is $400 and $60 shipping. Just reading some other threads, I read that the original belt was mitsubishi. Koyo was for the idler bearings I think. IS Koyo/gmb/NSK the same company? I don't understand why he lists it that way, if he swaps them out depending on the car, not sure. I sent him a question on it.

BTW, is there anything else I should think about doing at the same time?

He lists it that way because he's going to ship the cheapest parts he can find, and he'll make money at that price.

You'd be better off getting the specific parts you'll need for your car using factory parts... or take his list and save money by getting all the generic parts at Rock Auto.

I would add a new tensioner to the list along with a new serpentine belt and remember to throw in 2 gallons of antifreeze as you will be draining and refilling the coolant.
