m8, and the length, idk what you would need. also might want to grab some m6 bolts just in case its a slightly smaller thread. as i said, ill check tonight when i get home from work.

Its not the size of the screw bolt head you need to worry about but the thread pitch. You just have to try which bolt screws on the crank hole smoothly. It is probably M8 - 1.25 or 1.5 thread pitch.

You can pick up a universal pulley kit at Harbor Freight for under $15... much easier that way, unless your time is worth nothing.

Autozone has a deal better than the above. You can get a pully puller there and take it back when you are done with it and get your money back- No charge. I have received several tools that I will probably never use again this way. Its part of their free loan service.

x2 , and pretty sure if you just go pick up an M8 bolt, it should come in a standard thread, however I am sure you can get many other threads patterns.

I torn down my '98 front end two days ago. I did not use my pulley puller, just took my mallet to each side of the crank pulley a couple times and then was able to walk it off by hand. I have only had the car for 3,000 miles so I dont know if the pulley had been off before.

Well It's a long story, First the head Gaskets blew then I went in to take it all off and when I got it all put back, I had not Torqued the heads down to the specs so they blew again. So I replaced all Valves, springs, Head Gaskets, water pump, seals, oil pump, Pistin rings looked good so I did not replace them But now that I have everything back in place, she wont start, you can hear the starter turn but it wont crank?

I bet your timing's off. Double check your timing marks, and the correct assembly procedure and it should be fine.

Here are some photos, the First one is Left Cam and the 2nd is right cam, When I did try to start the Eng about 10 times would that turn the timing belt? Because if so then thats why my timing marks are off now,,,what else could it be? grounds? battery? fuse? I blew a 120AMP fuse that gives the car power inside but I don't think they has anything to do with it....What cyl is 1#? could I have messed up by not making sure 1# cyl is top centre on the firing stroke?
