Default Need to change the evap.

Does anybody have any tips on changing the a/c evaporator on my 91?

Well, for starters I hope you realize that the job requires the evacuation of the a/c system. And that it may be difficult / expensive / illegal to get your hands on R12 (which is what the stock refrigerant is). Have you considered taking it to a shop to retrofit the system to take R134a, and change the condenser while they are at it? It may cost less than refilling with R12.

I realize this isn't helpful for actually changing the condenser, but I thought I'd point a couple of things out.

Thanks for the input. I did the retro about 5 yrs ago so I am good to go and the system is empty.

Thanks for that. The real question is what part of the dash should come out first and is there parts that do not need to come out?
