Default replacing passenger mirror on '92 LS400

I just need to replace the mirror glass and the backing that the glass is attached to. Is it possible to do this, or do I need to replace the whole mirror assembly? It's one of those mirrors that can be controlled from inside by driver.

The mirror glass can be replaced without replacing the entire mirror assembly. The glass is held in place with clips at the bottom, top, and sides. Insert a screw driver at the bottom between the mirror glass and the mirror frame and push the end of the screw driver upward. The bottom clips should release, and you should then be able to remove the mirror glass.

The mirror glass may still be available from Lexus, but you will likely pay dearly for it (like several hundred dollars). You will likely be better off working out a deal to purchase the one the previous poster has. Be aware that there are different mirror glass parts for the LS models with memory and those without memory. Also, as I recall, Rock Auto has had this mirror glass available in the past.
