Wont start 1st try, always starts 2nd try
Starting to get a little fustrated now.. need a hint.
Replaced fuel lines and fuel filter. Cleaned TB and AFS. Plugs and wires check out. It stubbornly will not start the first time when the engine is even slightly warm. Tested VSV and it checked out, but I went ahead and replaced it anyways. Problem still persists. And the fuel pump resistor is bypassed for the car to run smooth. I am thinking fuel pump?? Anyone have similar issues?
Car runs smooth, no other running issues....

What year is it? I just got my service manual if its a 89-92 I can help ya out. Maybe fuel pump to me what sounds more likely for what you said though is a Pulsation Damper or the pressure regulator(more likely).

Yea I have the shop book sitting right infront of me and there is no test for the regulator. Though to really help troubleshoot this it would be a good idea to find out what your fuel pressure is at when you try and start it.

Seems to be getting better bit by bit...but thanks, I will look at the cold start injector next. Pulsation dampener test passed ok, so here's hoping for he miracle of Seafoam!

Cold starts are never a problem. Would this injector cause problems with hot starts? I don't think I have a fuel pressure problem, since if pressure would bleed down overnight, the car would have an issue starting in the morning. Yet that is when it fires up no problem. I think I will swap coils next, maybe I have an intermittent contact problem when things heat up...but I am grasping at straws here...
