yes we could have a long arguement on the different ways of dropping an air suspension equipped LS 400, but i won't. i would just like to say there are no problems with my air suspension. i tried SilverLS400's technique today and it turned out with results like he said it would. i left the switch off for about five hours. the car had dropped maybe 2 inches but not quite under the fender well. i haven't driven it yet, but im not sure if i want to drive with the air suspension switch off. i'll turn it back on before i drive though.

I tried switching off the AS and went out of town for the weekend and left the Lex in the Garage. I came back the following Sunday and the car was not lower than what I normally see. I did lower the AS by "twisting" the rods so that may of had an effect - who knows.

I have been looking for the R-spec, but it seems very hard to get and it seems no one (at least in the forum) has tried it and does it work on the US spec LS?

If someone wants to buy it and try it on your LS, I can give you the email of the importer for the US. Like I said I got a quote of $610. Maybe lower price if we get a group buy...the guy seemed cool.

When Lexus made the AS system, it was not mean to loose the pressure when the system is turned off. Turn off means AS will not self adjust. If your AS lower 2" after 5 hours or so, your shocks need to be replace.

I think the easiest way and cheapest way is to adjust the rod. My recommandation is to get another set of rear rods and replace the front with the rear. The rear rods allow much more adjustment.

Default GROUPBUY

GROUPBUY: If I buy 3 I will get them for $540 each. That's $60 off. Is anyone intersted?? I need only 2 others to get in on this and I will buy it. Please reply here if you are seriously interested. The more people we can get the more of a discount we'll get. This is a lot safer for your car than turning the AS off. Think about what you will pay to fix the AS system if you mess it up vs $500 to get the nice drop and keep your suspension running okay.

Yes it does work with 1st gen, it is the same for 90-00 I believe but you need a different harness for certain years. It seems to be easy to hook up, I am guessing it is plug and play. The instructions are in Japanese so the distributor will give you support. R-Spec ASE664. I want to get it if other ppl get it on the deal. He will go lower if we buy more.
http://www.r-spec.com/pdf/catalog.pdf (look at the 2nd page I think...it will say ASE664).
Maybe one of the moderators can put up a sticky for this deal?

There is one main unit, but there are different harnesses for specific model years.
