[QUOTE=RA40;5685862]When was the last time the car had coolant service? Did he mention thermostat and or water pump in all this?
Why the reservoir? Unless leaking it seems unnecessary.
I'd do the usual: thermostat and coolant change first.[/QUO
he dint mention about thermostat or waterpump

Calm down ...dude...
You need to figure out exactly what went wrong.
If you don't you will end up throwing lots and lots of money to fix what isn't broken.
If you aren't mechanically inclined get another shop to take a look at it and give you a proper and thorough breakdown of what went wrong. A second opinion never hurts. Only then will you(we) be able to figure what parts to replace.

dont antagonize our members please
chill and be polite.
you could have a myriad of problems but the first thing i would do is find a mechanic who actually knows what they're talking about. most of the time you can get a full water pump/tb service done for <$1100 so there's no reason at all you should be getting charged so much for just the fan clutch/mount and reservoir.

It has nothing to do with antagonizing even though that might be the way it's perceived.
The forum is far more respectable when we all adhere(try) to proper spelling & grammar.
I mean we have to put in some effort right to keep our posts nice and tidy?

PD highlighted one of the reasons I recommended you get a second opinion and quote...1100 is a ludicrous amount.
