I'm due for some too. Those look pretty bad. Did you notice vibration in the gear selector prior?

How about your tranny mounts?

I used aftermarket ebay 130381674024 from eurasia parts. $130 for BOTH shipped, takes 3 hours even if you dont know what you are doing. he can probably do it in two, we could if we had a lift instead of floor jacks and jack stands, on a creeper....

Well, at 165k I must REALLY be due.

No obvious vibration or noise problems and my trans mount is original as well.

Strange that the mounts have no provision to keep engine secure once cusion is worn/broken.

I put in OEMs as they are cheap and should last fine.
Mine also was cracked on the passenger side (?) .
Easy way to tell is rev the engine with the brake on and listen for the thump when you release as the engine sits back down.

Default engine mounts

when you replaced the mounts did you have to replace the engine stabilizer or just the mounts themselves. Also how did the aftermarket mounts from ebay fit? im still deciding if it is worth it to get the oem mounts.

Thanks

just the engine mounts, and they look and fit the same.
on my SRB's I used OEM $91. from Park Place (I live close to them, no shipping$), but I ordered polyurethane bushings from mybushings.com for my 99, just to see the difference, they were $84, shipped.

Glad you ask.... you can look up the thread.. polys were TERRIBLE!!!. left them in about 10 days, and it rode like an old ford.... took them out and went OEM and got my Lexus back again..
the engine mounts are still fine, no issues..
polys have no cushion... no give, just HARD CONTACT.. enough said...
