92-94 LS400 purchase questions
Hello, I am in the market for a LS400 from the early 90's and I have seen prices all over the place with little to no difference for what I am looking at. I've seen a couple around town that appear to have no indication of how price should be dictated. The last two that I have come across both were asking way to much and needed something repaired because they weren't serviced at a dealer or have no history of work.
With that said I know I'd be doing the water pump/timing belt right off the bat regardless and a few other things. Of course I'd like to keep my cost as low as possible. I would also like to purchase from the States as I live in Canada, however, I don't see many deals thus far for anything down south as the mileage on the cars is higher than I'd like to have on a car that I want to get another 200k out of on the engine.
Now with all this information I've provided would getting one of these be a concern for parts down the road?
here's a members car that I really liked. I just do not know what year it is.

You can buy mine. I have 2 inches of receipts all from the dealer it was bought from on 11/94. I'm the second owner. 158K. It is actually not for sale yet, I am waiting untill my Land Cruiser gets back from new gears etc. Same reason I am selling. Want the money to Mod the cruiser etc.
The only problem is 3 spots about the size of a 50 cent piece where the clear coat is pealing. But brand new tires $500-600 and LS430 (Very hard to find and expensive rims). Already on its second timing belt. If you find my origional intro post you can see all the maintenance.

Oh and I fixed the $4000 ECU / Throttle Jerk problem.
I unpluged the telescope motor once I moved the steering wheel where I wanted it. It does go up and down normally. And the radio cleared itself up. No more dark spots.
$7000

I am actually looking at a local car with no rust and only 62,000 Miles on it. The body and interior are in mint condition. Dealership just did a full maintenance on it, including the rack and pinion setup was replaced and flushed with brand new tires and brakes. The price for this is less than what any other car I'd consider would be.
I do appreciate you showing your car that you aren't remotely selling though

Is that an oil leak?
Just joking.
That's one BEAUTIFUL ride. Someone is going to get an amazing ride for 10 % of what it cost new.
The suspension systems on these cars looks (let alone feels ) alot more elaborate than any other car I've owned. Then again I've never owned a Lexus. Just look near those front wheels...wow.
Don't go to low on your price 7schulz...your car is worth every penny your asking price...hehe plus intrest?
Good Luck man...someone who appreciates a fine car will take it in a heartbeat!

I would use KBB as an indicator. That's really a good measure.
Then compare that price with those out there.
Are you selling the wheels separately, if so how much?

No I thought I missed something when I was under there today and then missed it again in the pics.
No everything goes with the car (including 10 oil filters) unless someone buying doesn't want them they I will put the old wheels back on and sell the LS430's with the rubber separate.

You wanted a clean (in the states, and it has already had the timing belt done car) that was for sale ....... Ta-da
I could have been a **** and said look on cars.com or in the classifieds but instead I gave you a perfectly viable option.
Check this one out.
