i highly doubt its a common thing. the wire harness probably just gave way after time. but my 95 ls400 has 220k miles and everything still runs fine!!!! but i can see my wire harness breaking apart slowly

The only less-than-perfect part of my '96's harness is the engine coolant temp sensor connector tab. So, you should be able to find a replacement harness in good nick if you are willing to look!

i believe the wire harness is different from the 1990 - 1994 and 1995 - 1997!!!!!!! getting a new wire harness would be the best route to go, cause your not sure if there still shortages in the wire itself to cause more of a problem later down the road

you can probably try to a local junkyard call around and see what they are asking for them or call the stealership :x (i just recommend the stealership because if your gona replace it might as well get a new one) there is also swell lexus our vender that could help you out or carson toyota. so you have a few options

o yea super clean ls400 !!!!! i have the same color just in 95 but mine has mad battle scars :x

theres no big difference between the original 95 - 97 ls400 compared to the 95 - 97 ls400 coach. its just that you got better leather interior and the car also came with a coach bag.

I had that problem (wheel rubbing harness) on my SC. I noticed it early on. Blinkers won't turn off, etc. so I re wrapped the exposed wire with electrical tape (pretty much all of them), wrapped everything together with tape and relocated up more so it wont rub.
